Hi all
I always get good answers here, so I thought I’d ask.
I have a 40 year old GE freezer that needs a new defroast timer (which no one has).
Anyone know of a source of old parts, rebuilder, or a web site (forum, etc) to ask help from?
Google didn’t help this time.

No luck from the other sources.

A 40 year old self defrosting freezer. You can probably pay for a new freezer with the electricity savings in just a couple of years. Think about whether heroics are worth it for this old relic.
Jeff,
Post the model number. I bought the warehouse next to my business and it is full of new "old" appliance parts from the appliance repair business that used to be there. If you have a part number for the timer, that would be even better.

Sorry for the delay, family stuff.
The GE part has 2 numbers on it:

Maybe I'll get lucky.

Hey Sardog... were you able to get it? Just curious...
Bill
Yes!!!!
I bought it.
NOW, HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU FIND IT?
I looked and looked all over.
Thank you
Jeff
;)
Glad it was what you were looking for... Happy Chilling.

You still didn't tell me how you found it.
Jeff
Search title AND description on ebay with the 3dart or whatever partnumber you want to find. After it's sold you wont find it that way because completed auctions only search the title.
I obviously need to improve my search ability.
Jeff
Use the advanced search page. It's easier, but not necessary.
just google the part number, it pick it off ebay
Hay guys, it never works for me.
