You might try Outwater. They have a good assortment of wood and other materials.

thanks, but unfortunately they don't sell moulding - just other specialty stuff.
Try this URL for direct access to Outwater mouldings:

duh, I can't believe I missed that - too bad it doesn't come up with anything when you do a keyword search on their homepage! Thanks.
There's a place in Kent or near Cornwall, CT.
Andy E. probably knows the place. I think they'll make about anything you'd like.

Is there a small millwork shop or woodworker in your area that could make what you need ?

A wide cove, make it on your table saw. It's not that hard and you'll save a bunch of money. Lonnie Bird's Shaping Wood gives a step by step and I think that FWW has several archived articles on it.

You suppose he can get the FHB archive search function to work properly?

RE: Making cove moulding on the table saw.
Do you mean running the stock diagonally across the blade? I've had good success doing that ... rasing the blade in fairly small increments, and running the stock quite slowly. I get the correct profile by sighting at table-level, but I understand there are tables available that give saw tilt and stock feed-angle. Do the sources you cite include tables for 12-inch blades?
Thanks.
Allen
Running the stock through diagonally will give you a nice cove. You can offset the cove by the angle of your approach and/or by tilting the blade. Most of the sources are geared toward 10 inch blades since they are the standard, but with a little head scratching and samples run on scrap you can achieve some pretty good results. Just make sure the last two passes are done slowly and nibbling just a bit of material off the stock so that you don't spend the better part of forever sanding. And do yourself one additional favor, use push blocks just in case you set the blade too high.
Jim
Yeah, I considered running it through the table saw, but I need 100+ feet for the job, and I charge for materials so I'm figuring the time it would take me to cut all that stock wouldn't save me anything after I figure in labor.

They have excellent product, but the shipping is gonna hurt for only 100'.
