What does one apply when the temps are below 40 degrees?
It’s winter here for the next 4 months and I need a substitute because it ain’t sticking to anything.

Few people understand it. Nobody agrees what it is, how to learn about it, or who's responsible for it. It has never been more important

Forte-flash or a spelling close to that. I peeled and stuck that stuff in the low 30's. Sticks to itself, aluminum, roofing.........I might have stuck it to plywood.
I'll look for a link.

I still use Vycor in the winter...I keep a heat gun in my trailer. It doesn't take long to heat it down, and I get the bonus of a good hand warming in the process. Actually, I usually heat it down as a general rule on all but the hottest days (here in Minnesota there aren't too many of em'). I like the extra security...I've seen too many corners start to curl after a couple days if it's not covered immediately.
Forty is nice and warm.
I just rub my hand over it a couple times and the friction warms it enough to stick.
down below freezing I make a couple passes with a heat gun and then rub it.

Some time ago I had some spray primer to go with this kind of stuff that worked really well even in cold weather. Sorry, the info is pretty hazy. If you are interested I'll see if I can Google it up. I think it was made by Pro-tec (or some similar spelling).
Made by "protecto-Wrap".I've been told it smells like pvc primer.I haven't tried either one, yet. But will probably have to, before winter is over.
I would rather try to be kind, and fail miserably, than not care enough to try in the first place.

IIRC, the stuff I used kinda resembled contact cement. I do remember that I had trouble with the nosil on the spray can getting clogged.
Looks to me like the BT Primer is the stuff to get for cold weather.

I can't remember. I'd say call 'em up and ask 'em.
I read the .pdf's.The BT stuff was the only one that said it could be used below 45 degrees.
