A chatroom, in my opinion, is a place where we can post ideas today and get responses almost immediately. Messages older than 4 weeks should not be posted anymore because “it gets old”…as we say.

I disagree, at least in this instance. Sometimes a project can take months or weeks to finish, and I'd rather that the followup pictures be posted on the original thread rather than starting a new one.
Besides, this is more a 'forum' than a 'chatroom'.
I see your point and you are right. By working for customers I'm just too focused on the result because I have to get my work done within a defined time frame. Also, the Denver/Boulder area became a fast paced business place over the last 10 years. O.K. to make it short....... you win! How about the posting should be gone after 3 months? Have a nice day, Aimless.
By maintaining the posts for longer periods of time, they are available for searching when someone else has a question on a similar topic.
Since Taunton is footing the bill for the storage space, I don't mind that they keep everything for years! I really appreciate the ability to find the information later--the message may be old, but the information is usually still useful.

All right Leigh, I'm outvotet. The forum is a place where I look for immediate feedback but I respect your idea of looking into the past....I just tried it out for fun. Doing the latter I'd prefer to browse my old FHB or my pro-files from Europe I had collected over the years for my own reference.
