Outside concrete steps 1″ higher than inside floor?
I just had new concrete steps poured and they poured them 1″ higher than the inside floor. Is this bad or standard practice now? I would think they should be level with the inside floor or even a bit lower to ensure water runs away from the door.
The steps were part of a larger pour for my patio – stamped & colored concrete…. What are the implications of having them redone completely?
thanks,
Jason

You want the outside slab lower, so water doesn't run in to the house.
