Oxygenated Bleach Wood Cleaner – Really removes gray?

An article in This Old Home suggested using this cleaner to remove dirt and lighten gray. They didn’t give a source and big boxes don’t carry this granulated power. 1. Does it work 2. Where can I buy it apart from online.

I suspect you're looking for "oxalic acid", often sold as "wood bleach".
Wood bleach
Maybe, but this seems to be a separate product sold in different places: Defy Wood Cleaner

Can't tell a whole lot from the info at the DEFY site, but it sounds a lot like oxalic acid, perhaps mixed with a detergent of some sort.
Wait -- here it is:
Sodium carbonate peroxyhydrate
Carbonic acid sodium
Sodium silicate
Not sure what common chemicals would be put together for that, but the peroxhydrate is apparently a sort of relative of hydrogen peroxide and not that far afield from oxilate. It's apparently one of the chemicals in OxyClean.
OxyClean is the easiest oxygenated wood bleach available. The chemical name is sodium percarbonate and is available from many sources on the web. I buy it in 50 # bags for about $75.00 shipping included. It will remove mildew and some stains pretty well however it will kill your grass or bushes if you don't rinse them well. Try the OxyClean first to see if it works for you before you bu ya large quanity.
Oxalic acid works and for some stains will work better than sodium percarbonate.
Oxy Clean or Oxiclean
Can you please give me the specific name of the product? There are lots of products under these two headings.
Oxyclean is a specific name fora commonly sold laundry additive. It's available in every grocery store. Sodium percarbonate is the chemical name by which it's sold on the Web.
