Hi All,
http://www.hytechsales.com/index.html
Thought you might be interested in this site…sounds too good to be true but maybe there’s something to it. It’s basically paint-on latex/aluminum based liquid that can be used under a roof deck or even on the roof directly. Supposed to reflect radiant energy away from the house. Any commnets or firsthand knowlege about this product or others similar to it would be great to see posted…

Have you used this product? What interest do you have in advertising it?
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
No interest or tie to the company. I'm just trying to see if anyone has any feedback to offer pro or con. I do have a cutomer with a poorly insulated house, a black roof and I'm trying to find ways (short of re-roofing) to reduce the heat load on the house...

If you look in Energy folder there was recent thread about Radiance paint.
Never found anything specific and this company doesn't have anything either.
Well, I'm a confessed Sherwin addict. Their E-barrier appears similar in application. I can confirm it does dramatically reduct heat transmission. I don't know what the energy savings is per year, but they claim 15-20% of your heating/cooling bill in typical construction. It does not take long to apply. The only ones having any interest here are building energy efficient or energy star homes.

If you apply this type of paint to the underside of the roof, do you shorten the wood's life since it will be retaining so much heat?
