We have a real ugly bathroom. I am tring to get a quick fix to make my wife happy untill I find time to do the job right. We have that old plastic wall tile, can I get paint to stick if I prime with a few coats of Bin or such? I am just buying some time until I can find the time to peel of the tile and scrape the glue of the wall. I am afraid that I will get into the job and the glue will not scrape down fairly smooth enought to cover with a beaded board. I am just looking to do a quick fix for now. Or would I be wasting my time???? opinions please.

You might be wise to scratch up the surface of the tile b/4 priming.

Quittin' Time
You probably are wasting time, over doing it "right" - - but then you're already aware of that and cool with it. So yes, you can get paint to stick to it, so long as this tile isn't in the shower where it's going to get wet. Scuffing it is good. Something for the paint to hold on to. Sherwin (yeah, yeah, I'm a SW guy) makes a Pro Bond primer which really does stick to just about everything. Ceramic, glass . . . plastic. I'd rate that as high on the probablility list for a successful outcome. You might even get a little more life out of the paint if you use exterior paint on it. Most of those come with a mildecide (you are in a bath after all) and exterior paints are more flexible, so less likely to break up over something squishy like plastic tile.
