Painting rooms with rounded drywall.
We have a newer home and all of the exposed drywall corners are rounded making it difficult to have rooms of different colors. This is especially a problem in our dining room which has arches on both ends (with rounded edges), leading into the living room and kitchen. The interior was completely painted in one color of contractor orca white.
Any suggestions on how to paint rooms of different colors with rounded edges? I want it to look good without adding molding or building corners back in.

Perhaps a kind of Faux molding on the corners will give you the transition you need.
blend the two colors to morph together..
blue tape a plumb line and cut into it
I like the first choice..darker color first, wrap a bit around..then schmear over the lighter color..no solid break..morph it

I suggest painting the arches a separate color from the rest of the walls.
This will make the nice architectural detail of the radius arches stand out and at the same time give you a nice transition from one room to the other.

Depending upon the choice of my customers I (1) either use blue masking tape along one vertical edge and paint the wall, leaving the rounded edge to be painted the other wall, or (2) put the tape right down the middle.
Without using trim, you have no other options that I can think of besides what has already been suggested.
Most of my customers opted to go with painting one wall (1) and include the rounded edge in the other wall. That looks best if the rounded edge is painted the same as a wall that is in a larger room while the round termination edge is in a smaller room or a hall. That way, the straight edge gives definition to the hall entry and keeps that particular color in that hall area instead of intruding into the larger room.
In the homes I build it has become a common request to have bullnose corners and with a little practice and a steady hand, it is easy to blend the corners with a roller. The drywall finisher needs to do a good job with no waves in the beads.

with drywall and bullnose corner bead ...
there should be a definite line where the flat stops and the round starts ...
on both sides of the bead ...
just pick one and use that as the line of demarcation.
