I’m still searching for a drill/impact driver kit.
Has anyone seen the Panasonic EYC102B kit, with the EY7202GQW impact driver for a reasonable price?
Heavy duty tools has the Makita 12v kit for $199, free shipping, and a $20 rebate coupon. If I can’t find a Panasonic kit somewhere, I think I’ll go with this Makita.

Bryan, hello again. As I recall, you're in Columbus. My supplier here also has a branch-Harris Tool- in Columbus. If you make contact with Electric Tool here in Maumee, mention my name and ask for Tim, I think he will be able to supply you at Harris. Electric Tool-888-497-9953 I've been dealing with Tim and his family for over 30 years. I could give no bigger recommendation.
Best of luck.

Yup, Columbus, Ohio. Thanks for the contact!
I also meant to mention that I have a panasonic drill/driver and the impact driver. They are good tools. The drill a 15.something, the impact-12v. Purchased separately but the charger is able to do both.

Will the panasonic charger work on different mains voltages for example 240v we are in Australia thanks in anticipation regards John BYou can make it fool proof but not idiot proof
The one that is marketed here in the states will not, without smoking.
I would guess these companies market the same models for your power, but have no real information.A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.

I read a couple of negative reviews of the Milwakee on Amazon, but that had actually been my first choice (12 volt). Maybe I'll change to the 14.4.The Makita does come with an LED light on the drill.
whats the discount code. How long is it valid?
durabond5...discount code...0919
Hey, I just realized something. This kit doesn't include a battery charger!
Yes...you're absolutely right. I've the #0616 Lok Tor...looked at Bosch, Makita and Panasonic...it's the feel of the tool...you've gotta pick one up first. I'm also suspecting Milwaukee will have V14.4 Li-Ion battery replacement for their 14.4 volt NiCds. That #9081 impact ~ 200.00 pieced out...the rest is just gravy. My #0616's made in Czech Republic...didn't we just get our a** kicked!! I need a building jack and a couple of screw jacks...priority...priority and that fence job's coming up fast!!

Hey Rusty,Did you get the Milwaukee set? If so, what do you think? I think I'm going to order one. I'll have to use the discount to buy a charger, since I don't have that charger.I went to Blowes to check out how different ones feel, and most of them are tied down with a zip tie so you can't pick them up. Yet another reason not to buy there.
It does come with a charger; I just got that set on Friday. Decent set-up, esp. for the price with the discount. Maybe someday I'll know a little something.
Great! Your positive it has a charger. I've gone over the list of items at two different web sites and didn't see a charger listed.I guess if not, I'll order one later...
Yep, I'm positive-I couldn't have charged the batteries otherwise! :-)Maybe someday I'll know a little something.
Bryan...feedback on 0919 Combo Kit. Unfortunately I wasn't able to utilize the 20% discount..."Out of Stock". HDT replied...no new inventory in the very near future. Reluctantly paid 199.00 elsewhere.
Tool Bag, Work Light and Charger...made in China
#0612 Drill/Driver...assembled in U.S.A.
#9081 Impact...made in Taiwan
Buried ~ 800 #10s hanging 1 x 6 redwood into P.T. lumber...no real challenge, was expecting 2.4 amp/hr batteries not the 1.7s.

I managed to score one. I had to call up to get the discount, but was glad I did. My usage isn't nearly so heavy as yours. Originally, I was going after a 12 v Makita, but this was too good of a deal. I'm at the point where I would rather have lighter weight, and pull out the corded versions when I need the power.Of course, yesterday I would have loved to have had a cordless reciprocating saw.
I haven't seen those panasonic drivers for anywhere near the price of the makita.
To add to your confusion, here's one more option- Makita has a mail in rebate for an impact driver when you order an MXT cordless drill, 14.4v or 18v. The MXT drills are better than the ones that come with the impact driver kits you're looking at.
The downside is you have to wait for the impact driver.
14.4v MXT drill is $189 plus 10% off, and free shipping.
Here's the rebate form, attached.
