Although I’ve been in this business a long time, I’m still not clear as to whether one needs to install 15 lb felt behind the durarock in a shower stall. It seems like we’re probably supposed to, but I noticed that on the front of a recent Fine Homebuilding magazine, they showed a shower stall under construction, that had no paper of any sort behind it. I’ve done it with and without. No callbacks so far. What do you all say?
