I own a couple of Paslode Impulse guns, (gas) and sometimes have trouble with the framing gun setting a nail. I usually use #12 for general framing and # 8 for roof sheathing. The gun fires but no fastener is ejected. I’ve had the gun rebuilt and the dealer did not have any answers for me. Has anyone had similar problems and if so what did you do to remedy the problem. Any help will be appreciated. Best Regards, Dale

Sometimes you can end up with a little wad of paper collating strip that keeps the feed from moving the nail strip forward.
That's if it doesn't shoot one out at all. Keeping the slide clean and oiled will help that a little so the feed spring doesn't have to fight friction too.
If your problem is not enough oomph to drive it all the way in, it is fairly common with these. Lots of possible reasons:
>old fuel cell
>dirty chamber.
>cold fuel cell
>knot in the wood ( or PT lumber, frozen lumber, or anything else that makes it shoot through denser wood)
>combination of any or all the above

Excellence is its own reward!
We had something similar at work. We stopped using cheap nails. Switched to Paslode only nails. It's a finicky gun.
Don't know where you are, but my experience is that the gas guns work better at lower elevations.
Ya, I use only Paslode nails. Had the gun a couple years now and seldom have a misfire. Have yet to get around to cleaning it. Check the validation date on the bottom of the gas canisters.
