I own both...the impulse.
near the stream,
aj
*There's no question, the impulse is miles ahead of the bammer....Ross
*Hey Rick I have the impluse and have used the Bammer.Bammer makes a good boat anchor.Frank
*Rick, you gotta be kidding?I laughed at the sales rep when he tried to get tme to take the bammer for a free trial week. After pushing that thing down one time, I decided that it would be easier to hand nail, and faster too!I do own an impulse but never use it. It also takes a lot of pressure to activate the system and the boys find it tiring in comaprison to lugging the hoses. Occasionally, someone will take the orange beast to a service call, but I prefer to handnail.I do know a heating and cooling guy who loves the implulse. He says it saves him a ton of time. I laughed because he only had to drive about thirty nails per house (he drives them near his intended hole, then runs downstairs to see if the span is clear and usable for a heat run)!I know AJ loves his impulse, but maybe his works easier.MINE SUCKS.blue
*Anytime an impulse pushes hard, it needs to be cleaned...Then it's no harder then a regular old fashioned air and hose job...near the stream,aj
*What's your cleaning include, and how often do you do it?I like my Impulse too, though hand nailing still has a lot going for it.
*Jack, I had mine dropped off for service, to alleviate the problem. They told me that I don't have any problem, that "that's the way they are". I've since checked with a different dealer, and was told the same thing. Mine is significantly harded to depress amd fire.Another tool for the barn collection, blue
*Blue, when are you having your "barn sale"? Ever heard of eBay?
*I've not had a problem with either. While the palsode may be superior to the bammer, I haven't had any problems with the bammer whatsoever.
*Andrew...just like the directions and the video shows...dissassemble...clean...lube...and assemble...if ya can install a window, ya can clean an impulse.Blue...I have tons of air tools...and I have never noticed that the pressure to fire an impulse was so high that it was a problem...It is when they are dirty though for sure!!!near the stream,aj
*Video? You got a video???
*The video is free...Send for it....near the stream,aj
*This is what I get for not being a gun nut. Thx.
