They just painted the condos here and removed all that fine old trim and shutters.
That revealed my kitchen cleanout in the wall. It’s set at an angle and there is a gap in the stucco on one side that a rat would like. I know the rains would love this. The whole area is covered in new paint (adhesion issues?)
@@ Winter rains coming on, what is the Best Practice for patching this hole around the cleanout?
@@ While we are at it – anyone have a really good way to open a cast iron cleanout that has been sealed since King Tut was a kid? Three days of WD 40? Torch? Cheater on the wrench?
I sure don’t want to bust it or ruin the paint job.
Once open, the threads will get cleaned and a good coat of NeverSeize applied. Some use toilet ring wax.
