You'd better tell more soon dale. You use what they want you to use.
*I had to quote a job. I decided they might like the best. They gave no real budget info so I went for it. found some real gems $$$$$$ I had better learn CPR if I do that one again.
*It's a good idea for you to offer an install of a product you can be confident in. Moreso in a patio door. They get used, abused and often are right in the line of fire of hard weather. I have had good luck with pella designer series, proline, anderson frenchwood and whatever their clad line is called (brain fade). Would not install Peachtree, thermatru or any of the cheap box store brands. Just my preference. I would steer a customer away from these. It usually costs the same to install a primo door as it does a pc of crap door. Best of luck.
*I just installed a Pella Proline in my home. Decent quality for the price and not much more that the crap at the box stores. The install was straight forward....just a big window. I wouldn't really think someone would want to skimp on a patio door. It could kill your energy usage as well as not provide solid security to the home. In 5-10 years they will be wishing they had spent the extra $400 or whatever on the better door.Just my opinion.SJ
