I did a home addition 34 years ago and part of that addition was a Pella sunroom with
1 full stone wall and the remaining walls and ceiling in glass. The ceiling or roof has leaked
intermittently since installation by a master roofer -builder and the only answer the Pella rep could offer was that “they all do this”,which is why they’ve been out of the sunroom business so long,Several of the roof panels have accumulated water between the panes but
the intermittent leaks are from the Pella designed faulty joinery system, which has been somewhat moderated by butyl tape applied to said joints. The walls, fortunately, don’t
leak.
I love the space as is and don’t want to tear down and start over as it looks great from the inside[all case work is custom, including the ceiling fan mounts] but obviously the roof will need addressed.
Any ideas or opinions will be much appreciated and if anyone out there has repaired or redone one, come on down to Pa.! ;we can work a deal out.
