Perimeter heat in a coldwall kitchen
Planning baseboard heat for the cabin I’m building. The kitchen sink/cabinets/dw/ refrigerator (plus a six foot slider) take up most of one outside wall. Wondering how to get perimeter heat in here. Are there baseboard units that would fit in a deepened toe-kick in the cabinets? Or a recessed unit that would fit between floor joists under that slider? Thanks to those who know more than I do!

Yes, there are electric toe kick heaters.

I thought there might be. Are they radiant or is there a fan involved too?Remodeling Contractor just outside the Glass City.

The toe kick heates would be fan operated conviction heaters. But I think that there are some radaint baseboard heater. Wonder if there is enough room for them over the toe kick. Also if the angle of the cabinet would block too much of the heat. Also a good place for under floor radaint. Also I remember on TOH where they had an area (mud room, entracne way, breakfast nook or something like that) that they made a wall radaint.Think that they just looped plex in the wall, but it was a long time ago that I saw that.
You say'cabin'...if you mean a small, one- or two-room structure then the heat from the living areas should do it.
If you could instal underfloor heat you'd eliminate one problem - noise. Fan heaters are noisy, and in confined spaces they will annoy you.
All the best...
To those who know - this may be obvious. To those who don't - I hope I've helped.
