OK pex has just been approved in my area…. only wirsbo and only the plastic fittings… no brass (they restrict the flow ? ) the factory reb is coming out to the jobsite monday… willing to do onsite training… my BI says only one job has been done & inspected by their office in this area…
a few things i’ve been told are approved…. you can do as much as you want in copper and cpvc and any mix of same and the pex….
you don’t have to home run everything if using the pex you can T off of it just like copper…. i have many difficult runs and just for an idea we are looking at almost 8000 ft of 1/2 pex alone.. and i can get 40% off on all wirsbo product…
ideas?
thanks in advance

My plumber swears by it, and it's a lot faster too. Don't know about the plastic fittings, he uses brass. Make sure to get red and blue!
Red & Blue...
The plumbing inspector almost failed my house b/c I used all red. I figured since cpvc and copper use the same color for both H&C, why can't pex? He said we like to go with the manufacturers recommendations, but let me pass. Maybe if I'd have used white, no issue. I gotta learn to color between the lines.
I would have used the blue too, but I had the red left over from the radiant slab...
