Picture frame edge of Trex Deck
I’m doing a trex deck, and my current design calls for a “picture frame” at the ends – where there is a piece perpendicular to the field boards at the end.
I know this would work well with normal wood. Will I have any problems with the Trex, assuming I go with the recommended 1/2″ spacing between the ends and the cross piece.

Recommended gapping for Trex is 1/4" width-to-width (Above 40 degrees.) and 3/16" (Below 60 degrees.) or 1/8" (Above 60 degrees.) end-to-end.
