I have a concrete slab home where I would like to install a T&G pine floor. I do not want to put down sleepers or plywood to nail the boards too. Can I plane the boards to 1/2 thickness , route in T&G sides and then glue the boards together like they do some of the laminates today? I know I got to allow for expansion; but, will it work? I want to do it this way inorder to avoid a thick floor that would not match up with the rest of the homes flooring.

Pine is soft and splintery. Plane it that thin and then apply a T&G edge and you will have toothpick sized laps that would break off on a sneeze. You woiuld not only have to glue to each other but stabilize the wood and glue it down to the concrete.
You are tying to reinvent the wheel and make it look like a horses hoof and still expect it to go 'round.
There are several engineered laminate brands that will do what you need over a concrete slab. They are abouth that thickness, snap tegeter, float or glue down, and wear and look prety darn good for the money.
Excellence is its own reward!
I'm with Piffin, there's no way in hell 1/2" pine would last. Not edge glued anyway. The wood would seasonally swell or shrink and pop the glue, or more likely the grooves. Engineered flooring is a great alternative because it is a stable material, will not swell to the same degree, and is 3/8" to 1/2" in thickness, not to mention readily available and affordable.
