Looking for feedbak on molding/planer combo’s, I’m mainly looking to make larger moldings (base/casing/chair/crown) for my own house. Any comments from anyone that has one or has used one would be helpful. Thanks!

I am extremely happy with my Williams and Hussey. It will hav e good resale value if you are a one project person.
Try a search here too, W&H or planers and molders.
The W &H is great , but spendy, but as Piffin said , resale is good. I have the 13" Jet planer- moulder, it's decent for the cost, but somewhat limited in moulding size and depth of cut. Properly set up it works very well. Ive planed a couple of thousand bd. ft. and done quite a bit of moulding, so far so good. I do plan on buying the W & H, when the budget allows though. Probably more durable ( and accurate) in the long haul. Hope this helps.

A friend of mine was just telling me about the new shop set up a customer sprung for so he could run a house load of custom trim. The guy bought all Grizzly.....which my buddy was fairly impressed with after using for the last coupla weeks. Jeff.......Sometimes on the toll road of life.....a handful of change is good.......
Take a look at Woodmaster....more capacity as a planer than any of the others, as far as I know, lots of versatility as a moulder, and they're good solid machines.cabinetmaker/college instructor. Cape Breton, N.S
ditto on the W&H its wonderful machine.
And because of the open side, it's easy to do curved moldings.
Had my Williams $ Hussey for about ten years. I love the thing. Another good tip is to find that grinding machine to make your own cutting knives. Its about $600...looks like a key machine. I forget the name but I bet someone here remembers it.
Be well
