Ran across something I’ve never seen before: old house (circa 1920) NW Ohio, terra cotta block foundation. Had “Plaster block” between the 2 cellar rooms and under the stair stringer. Poked it and it seemed like plaster. One or 2 images attached (don’t know yet what the site will let me do. One shows it head-on, painted silver, the other from an angle.
These are big files (350 KB – I’ve tried making ’em smaller but everything I’ve tried expands the file size)
Anuone seen or heard of this stuff before?
Bob

Looks like gypsum plank to me. One trade name c. 1930's was 'Pyrobar' used in heavy fireproof roof construction.
