Plumber’s Bread sandwich, anyone?
A humerous response in another thread (about stopping the leakage of electrons with white bread — don’t ask) reminded me about this.
Last night I was at Lowes picking up some solder, and I noticed a product I’ve never seen before on the shelf next to the solder — “Plumbers Bread”. There were even similar products from two different manufacturers. It’s a product designed to take the place of Wonder Bread for plugging pipes when soldering. It looks kinda like white hi-temp insulation and supposedly completely disolves in the pipe after a time.
I suppose this stuff has been around for a while and I just never noticed it before. I’ll probably pick up a package, since I don’t usually keep Wonder Bread in the toolbox (or in the kitchen, for that matter). If it works, it would be nice to have around for all those times where the main valve doesn’t quite shut things down.

Does this mean plumbers don't eat Wonder Bread sandwiches anymore? Must be a health kick thing.
More of a tast thing.
Works good in pipes, though.

It's for low carb diets too.
LOL. Yeah, and it won't clog up the "plumbing" either!
