In my son’s house, the bathtub spigot runs hot and cold. The shower above does not have the problem as it stays consistently hot. They both are served by a round valve… turn to the right and it’s get colder, turn to the left for hotter and pull out for more water.
It’s not a Moen and I think it’s a Delta..but what can cause this?
Is the “insert control” set right? ..can’t think of anything else and what’s the best way to repair ..maybe getting a new one and doing it all over?

I bet it is the anti-scald device and the wide open spout tricks it while the flow limited shower is OK.
The first thing to do is call or Email Delta. They might just send you a new set of "guts". The better lines have a lifetime guarantee. I got 2 sets of new bathroom faucets Fed Ex with nothing but an Email picture of a damaged finish on the old ones.
Thanks for your reply. Guess will just have to open it up and put in a new one..hopefully for free.
