Over the past 7 years we have had a problem in that when we use our shower, the the water pipes will “whistle” and once the pressure goes up from the boaster pump kicking in, the whistle has goes away . I realize that we are on a well and it is probably because the water pressue is low due to the fact that the buster pump is downhill from the home. This has not really ever bothered us. But, in talking to my Chiropractor( he is a REAL chiropractor, not the crack and run type),he lives in a track home and he is having a problem with this pipes and the whistling will even start when they flush the toilet. This brings me to my question(s). What is the “real” cause and how can it be corrected? Mainly I am asking this for my chiropractor’s home. I was thinking that replacing his pressure regulator, or, turning up the existing one to a higher pressure. Will this work? What other suggestions do you have. Thanks for all and any input in advance. -Brian
