plywood or oxboard for floor deck?
well as my user name says “overbudget”i’m breaking ground on a 1100 sf project this week and the price of plywood goes through the roof! anyway what do you guys prefer for floor sheeting 3/4 plywood or 3/4 oxboard (flakeboard).i’m looking at both, i sure like the flatness of oxboard, but i know my luck and as soon as i deck it it will rain for 40 days, and i wonder if the plywood would hold up to rain better? a idea i have is just as soon as it’s decked to take about 15 gals. of off color latex and roll out some paint on it to try and keep it from soaking in as bad .any suggestions?

There is a currently a thread on OSB subfloor sheathing the the "General" folder. Check it out. Do a search too. I never heard the term oxboard. OSB prices are way up too.
