Plywood Prices Through the ROOF IN Jersey!!

Anyone wonder just how long these prices can be this high??
Lumber Yards are charging almost 50 bucks a sheet for 5/8 CDX!!
I had a friend pay over 50 for 3/4 at home depot!!
Not to mention the extra 7% the crooks get just for us buying the products.
I have to do my back section of roof before winter and if this keeps up then I will just put a band aid on it until these prices drop. Plus I have other jobs with our properties that will cost us thousands of dollars extra just in plywood. Not to mention general lumber prices are increasing every time I go pick up materials.
Is this because of the government stopping us from working?? Or does it have some to do with all of the FREE MONEY they giving away to help inflation??

Have anything to do with hurricane season?
It’s actually the government NOT doing anything to help prevent climate change which is fuelling wildfires in the Pacific Northwest where our lumber comes from, coupled with reduced production due to COVID (which again our federal government did little to help quell). And increased demand for building right now which is why you have so much work.
