I’m thinking of flooring a porch with plywood tiles and am wondering if anyone has experience with this. Advice?

Interested, as I'm considering an interior application with 1/2" or 3/4" oak veneer plywood. I would think you should use exterior grade for a porch application.
There is an example of this in a Taunton Press More Small Houses where they used 4'x4' squares and 2'x2' squares screwed down to subfloor with sheetrock screws left exposed, and then finished with 3 coats of poly. Doesn't look bad in an Old Navy-Gap sort of way, and could make a good low-buget temp solution until funds or time were available for solid hardwood.
Could refine somewhat by counter-sinking and plugging.
I think I will route very slight chamfers on the upside edges to even things out a bit. Wonder if I should place felt or rosin paper between these "tiles" and the subfloor.
