I’m finally almost finished my large addition which is mostly kitchen. We have ten parrot living with us, and they have their own room off of the kitchen. The room is somewhat sound proofed, and includes a custom made pocket door that is also sound proofed. (1/4 plywood framed with pine, and sandwiching an inch of foam and a 1/2 inch of drywall). the door moves nicely on it’s track, but is still heavy.
I’m looking for a door pull for it. All the things i have seen so far consist of little rings, or ovals that recess into the face of the door, giving about 3/8 of an inch for the fingers to pull. My wife will not be able to manage that, she will break her nails. Does anybody know of any other types of hardware available, maybe having a ring that pulls out to give a better grip? I’m not talking about the edgepulls, this is for when the door is closed.
I’m in Ontario, but am willing to order from US
Thanks

You might want to take a look at Hafele also. They sell quite a lot of speciality hardware items. I cannot recall all what they have for sliding doors, but the catalog is online.

When my daughter was younger she couldn't maneuver the concealed pull, so I fashioned something out of an old leather belt. Also try Haefele.
