Joe asked….. the project is slow… but it’s all good… and i hope it gains some speed… the plumbers have the ground floor rough in signed off on..(the underground stuff… man i ended up taken’n tons (like 80) of concrete out of the first floor to run all the underground pipe… the brick masons are about 1/4 finished with the tuck pointing (i sandbalated the whole thing) and the brick guys have only soaked the scissor lift controls 3x leave’n em stranded 40 ft up (no one can operate your equipment like you can)…like to of lost a thumb but it looks pretty good… as long as i was sandblast’n i did all the big heartpine beams…. the electrician… has the main panel set and all 21 meters i did my unit and the house unit in 3ph… hope it pays off in the long run cause it sure bit me on the front… the power co set my new pole & transformers today…
somethings you just can’t pass up… a buddy purchased some prop down the street and asked to to come look at some stuff… well it was an old steel company they built everything from bridges to boats back in wwII… and he made me a deal on a covered parking structure… 38ft wide and 100 ft long… had my engineer come do a reverse drawing so i could get my permits… anyway today me & 3 of my guys stripped the galv. roofing off… man they used some heavy material… it’s kinda half rusty and half galv but all still solid… i’m not going to reuse it on the roof… but i have 200 10ft sheets about 27″ wide… i kinda like the look of it… would make a killer fence if you like that look ( i do)… anyway my loft project will now have covered parking thanks to this structure… all the main steel frame is bolt together and alot bigger than it needs to be (the steel) so just another sidetracked deal… i should have been haul’n sand today so i can get the concrete poured on the first floor… oh yeah the plumber took my dump truck for sand and about tore the rear door off… (goes back to no one can operate ur equipment like you can) and….the plumbers have managed to make my new bobcat look like a rental unit….
but work is getting done… i’m sure i’ll hear from my bank soon… this construction loan has been open way too long… but the good part is… i haven’t spent too much of it yet… prices of material have affected the way we are do’n a few things… with 20 200amp services and some runs be’n 150ft long… pvc has replaced emt in a few places…
i come home dirty… tired… and smile’n so life is good…. oh and i don’t even know if i mentioned that i have one new young’n to come home to… so life is good…
i’ll try to post some pictures soon… thanks for ask’n joe

I had forgotten about that project. Thanks for the update and do come back with the shots.

That sounds like way too much fun for one guy.
That galvanized might be the decking to pour a concrete floor almost?
Nothing like getting a huge batch of free material that you have no exact use for but can be cobbled into something usable.
Especially if you have a place to keep it. My 10 acres will hold a lot of junk, all I need do is find it and haul it.
Looking forward to the pics.
