Hi everyone –
We’re building a covered porch with tile floor over a master bedroom addition. I’ve been investigating a waterproof system under tile using Schluter Ditra and another with Noble Deck. Because it’s occupied space below, the Schluter/Ditra set-up still requires a rubber membrane going down over plywood and mortar bed (both of which I don’t want just because of build-up height) as well as drainage mat and ditra. The Noble Deck allows 2 layers of plywood/cement backer/Noble Deck/tile which would be much easier.
Anyone have this application before? Opinions on the Noble Deck? Since the porch is covered, regular rain really isn’t a concern, but here in North Carolina, a hurricane rain is a big concern.
Thanks,
Marg

I have never used Noble Deck myself, but have used noble products for tile showers.
Noble has been around a long time and has a good reputation as far as I know.
