Any advice on a portabel jobsite saw, or a benchtop table saw? I have been looking at the Bosch, Delta, and Dewalt-400 to 500 range.

Dewalt bought PC and Delta last year, its likely some pc stuff will be discontinued. I think they'll keep the pc and delta for the woodworking but they'll stop the contractor tools pc makes, or switch them to dewalt names.
The ridged ts2400.sturdy saw.solid.
Another vote for the porter Cable 3812S
Metabo just introduced a portable TS.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
I have the rigid, it's fantastic. The only time I dislike it is when I have to set up on the second floor, or loading it in my van. It's heavy, but not bad with the dolly/stand to roll around, lifting it is another story.
but yua havn't lived till you experience the T4000 from Bosch...

How do you plan to use the saw? Like the other guys said, the Bosch and the Ridgid are both great tools, though heavy with the wheeled base. I have the Bosch with the old folding base, and it works great for me doing finish work. I have used the Dewalt quite a bit, also a good saw and the fence is really nice, but it's not as heavy-duty as the other saws. If you work alone, that might be fine; with other guys using it, not as fine.
Makita in a Rousseau table is a good option too.
