I’m looking for an easy to use dovetail jig that is more portable than my Leigh D4. I saw the new Porter Cable 4212 and it looks for appealing for the money. It looked like an easy to set-up, accurate jig for doing through and half blind dovetails. I don’t need anything bigger than 12″ because I have my Leigh D4 for bigger stuff. I was just looking for ideas as to what everyone else is using.
I look forward to any and all input.
Thanks,
Mike

You're so helpful. I mean that.... not being sarcastic. You're like the "nice guy" while I run around here like the Village Idiot. I should be taking notes. Thanks for the service Razz. Good on ya.View Image

I dont know where our thread is at the moment.
Daughter is getting into this thing.
She called and woke us both up yesterday morning .
She was at Lowes standing in front of the drills . That was funny to us listening to her dilemma.
I had told her she would need a cordless drill amoung some other things. She was looking at a B&D 12 volt but xouldnt find one in stock. I said that would be a good starter drill. She was whizzed when I told her what we spent on drills. Anyway she was shooting in the 50 buck range. So she said she was going with a skill. I said ok bye. We are getting back to sleep and she calls back. Shes found a floor display of 24 volt B&D drils half price from 86 to 43 on sale. I didnt know they made such and advised they would be heavy for her. She also bought a drill bit set I told her would help if her drill was too light to drive 3 inch screws. She found a 24 piece set .
I think shes hooked.
