Porter-Cable CFFN250N Finish & Brad Nail
Gee how these home projects “force” me into “having” to buy tools…oh me oh my! Going to need to install baseboards, crown moulding in addition to building that cabinet or two, or three. So I am considering getting the Porter-Cable CFFN250N Finish & Brad Nailer Combo Kit.
How would this suite me for a begining pneumatic air system?
Thanks.

GREAT...more than enough for the occasional project and the compressor comes in handy for other situations. My only complaint is the compressor is small, cycles more frequently, and is louder than most.
It will work well. But ...is that the 15 ga or 16 ga finish nailer? The 15 would be a better choice.

Hey go for it.
I think PC nailers stink but that is my opinion based on a bad experience with their 15ga angle nailer.
Maybe I just used it too much. Perhaps it is intended for a homeowner.
PC certainley does'nt market it as such.

I've run tens of thousands of nails through a 250 finish nailer with no problems.
16ga, 3/4" to 2-1/2"
Just don't forget to oil it.
You probably don't need the brad nailer, the FN250 should take care of your needs.
i've had mine for about two years now... love it. i used it to install 800' of base and about 200' of door casing in our house. it kept up well. i suggest a long hose or two (i run 75') so that i can keep it in the garage or in the other room when i'm working inside.
Lets see, you get a 16ga nailer, an 18ga nailer and a compressor with the kit?
Great choice! The guns are excellent, I have built cabinets and trimmed 100's of houses with them. The compressor is a bit loud and takes a long time to recover to full pressure but that is easily rectified by placing it away from where you are working and running longer hoses. You will need some decent 1/4" hose anyway, the one that comes with the unit is a bit stiff. Also ask the dealer for some extra rubber tips for the guns, as they tend to disappear after a while. See if you can get a deal on some nails/brads while you're at it. Check out the same unit at some tool supply or fastener supply stores as they will give you a better deal on the accesories, hoses/brads etc. than you will get at the big box stores.

Plus, at Home Depot - they are clearing out this combo for $249 or so, and, it comes with a narrow crown stapler free as well. Check you local stores - in the Detroit area, they are on clearance.Hell of a deal - and, it'll get you started. You might look into the Bostich deal that's floating around also - similar deal, similar pricing - but, the compressor's a little nicer looking - probably no better, but a nicer looking design.JT
I love it! Even used the compresser with a floor nailer worked fine. HD here in Ohio has a deal 30% off yellow tag of $299 so I got the 18g, 16g, and crown stapler for $210.
SOB....I paid 299 but still think it's worth it.
Gots me one, and love it. Got the free crown stapler too, but have not used it yet. No probs w/ the guns, but would reccomend a 50" (3/8" dia) flex line. The heavier rubber ones fight the light guns too much.
Note: The comp is a little loud, but works great for car tires too.
Ive gotum all but I didnt get them in a kit dagnabit and I paid more of course.
Ive used mine quite a bit with only a kit in the angle nailer which is no big deal. Ive got a kit on the way for the little stapler which is 4 years old. I dont use them every day though but often.
Grab it .
edit ; Ive rebuilt several guns of different makers and used to be a Bostich dealer. When you get right down to it its only a housing made for repair parts. Unless it gets dropped or ran over , its the parts that either last or dont . They arent expensive .
