I was helping a friend investigate a possible house purchase and ran into a wall material I had not seen before. Does anyone have any info on a “pre-gyp board” (1948 house) wall material? It seems to be made of wood fiber, and is brown (base) and flexes more then gyp. It seems to be finished the same as gyp board and looks like gyp too. The house is located in Portland, OR.
