I just built an addition to my summer home front porch using pressure treated lumber. I based the design of the deck on the cover of FH a few months back using a mitered edge band around the deck. I know the FH deck used composite material but my question is how much shrinkage will I find with the pressure treated material next spring when I return to my place in north Michigan? Also can I stain it next spring or should I wait until the temp is above 65 degrees for a while?
As Groucho said, “Why would I want to belong to a club that would have someone like me as a member?
Thanks for you thoughts

without going back to the issue to see the detail I can tell you the miters will open up and look like #### in six months.
as far as the stain, read the can.
I hate to say it, but Maverick is probably right--PT miters (and exterior miters made with many other non-treated wood) will open up. But I still see lots of people mitering corners on decks and so on. Most people don't like butt joints.
I like to paint or stain when I know there will not be rain or dew or temperatures below 45 for a couple days after. Like Mav said, whatever the can says though. Some modern paints and stains allow lower temps and so on.
