I just finished screwing down a trex deck today using a quickdrive drill attachment.  I bought this tool two years ago and had good luck with it for the first 2-3 decks.  For the Trex, I have been using Trapease, 2 1/2″ composite deck fasteners. 

My problem as of late, has been an unusually high number of fasteners not seating.  More often than not, they go through the deck board and then the bit cams out, leaving the screw 1″ + above the deck. 

I consistently use the new bits provided with the screws, but it seems the tool has taken a turn for the worse.

Anyone else have any experience, advice, or suggestions?
