Project tracking software

We are looking for software that will help us track all the activities related to a given project. ie Material ordering, sub scheduling etc. Projects range from $40,000 to $500,000. We do not neccesarily need it linked to accounting.

    Not that I like Microsoft per se, but MS-Project should be much less than $40 K. Like maybe a few hundred at most.
