Hello!
I was just wondering if anyone has an organized, easy to use punch list format?
Thank you.

Lisa,
Most that I've worked with are a simple sheet with the following columns:
Issue Location Trade/Sub Checked Off By Completed Date
Then Trade/Sub partial copies are made and distributed. Sign offs are usually done on the partial lists.

You're welcome.SamT
I just saw your post in Help Wanted, and realize you are going to be GCing this job yourself.Read my post in DETAILED Estimates, http://forums.taunton.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=tp-breaktime&msg=92734.3The Punch List is complied after the request for final payment of Phase and before that payment is made. You and the Sub may work out a different method of his requesting your final walk through, (Request for a punch list.)Do NOT do a Punch List every night. Wait until the sub says he's done. The only things a sub has to do for you are the things in the Scope Of Work defined in the contract. If you forget to submit something for bid, it's on you to do it. If the sub doesn't include it in the contract, even if you requested it, as long as you sign the contract, it's on you. If the sub flakes out and leaves, whether paid or not for work done or not, it's on the GC, (you.)Even with a great General Contractor, a remodel is the most stressful thing that will ever happen to your marriage. Even for a great GC, remodeling a house is the most stressful work any businessman can do.The rewards on completion of either is wonderful. You are thinking of combining those two. You might want to rethink your course, because the rewards only come after the results of the stresses do.SamT
And now that your terrified,
