where can I purchase brackets to clamp onto treads for curved handrail?

You can make brackets out of ply that will last for mutiple bends or a local welding shop can fabricate metal ones.
Armin posted an extensive tutorial on curved handrails. His brackets are the nicest I've seen.

Scroll down through the article to see the red brackets. He uses wooden blocks to locate his rail instead of permanent welded L's.
