OK, I’m prepping to paint the new trim in the new kitchen, so I can put down the underlayment, so I can put down the new flooring, so I can put in the cabinets and put on the countertop and put in the sink and have a kitchen again and not have to do dishes in the dang ol’ bathtub every night!
Ahem. Anyway, new windows – vinyl clad wood. New trim, including jamb extensions – pre-primed something or other that my guy put in. Nail holes are filled and all that.
Do I paint the vinyl clad window bits? I assume not, but I got no knowin’ fer sure either way.
Thanks –

I don't paint the vinyl window parts. Sometimes the white paint doesn't really match the white vinyl, but I still think the vinyl is best left unpainted. It's easier to clean and no worries about the paint adhering.

Don't paint the vinyl whatever you do. Caulk the joint at the vinyl-wood seam and paint right up to the caulk. The paint would probably adhere to it but would come off with a light cleaning. So leave the vinyl alone. Jim Z
