Does anyone have experience with the energy efficiency cost/benefit of Radiance Low E roof deck paint? I did not install radiant barrier sheathing on my approx. 8000 sq ft roof in Houston, and hope this special formulated paint will be a possible energy saver. The underside of the roof deck is easily accessible to spray the coating.

"Radiant paints" have been around for a long time. From time to time I have tried to find specifics on them and never had.
I have not checked that brand to see if they have any verifable testins on their website.
The closes that I saw is Florida Solar Research Center (which has done a number of tests of heat gains from roof "systems" including the use of radiant barriers) mention paints as a type of radiant barrier.
On in the last year or so I see that SW now has one out.
My guess is that there is some gain using them on the bottom of decking, just don't have any idea of how good them are.

Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
