   I'm looking for any info on the pro's and con's of
   using ceiling mounted radiant heat in a 24' x 30'
   garage shop. Company names that could supply a
   system would also be helpful. Thanks, J.

   *John - - one of the most effective radiant systems is natural gas (or Propane) low intensity infrared heating appliances. These systems mount to the ceiling and operate at a much lower temperatures than the red hot high intensity spot heaters. They tend to be much more comfortable, especially if you have a higher ceiling. The hot tube radiates heat to the people and other objects in the room which, in turn, convect heat to the air. You'll see these systems in mechanics shops, like Midas Muffler and such, and the mechanics love them. If your shop has ceilings 16 to 24 feet tall, these systems will not cause the severe temperature stratification caused by forced air furnaces. I've installed these systems in several locations with no problems. One air plane hanger had 45' tall ceilings and there was but 5 degrees Fahrenheit temperature rise from the floor to the ceiling.    electric powered radiant heat systems. I
   have a 24' x 30' space and would prefer
   a system that could be mounted to the
   ceiling so as not to take up floor
   space. Any info would be helpful.....
