Any suggestions on what height to make a rain head shower head height from the shower floor, that is coming out of the ceiling? How about X number of inches from the tallest person? Never used one before.
Thanks, Anthony

Zoning ordinances attempt to tackle housing shortages and affordability by allowing designs that increase density, but with new regulations come some challenges.

abutcher,,
I have one in my shower and the women hate it.. I have great pressure but one feature of a rainhead is the gentle sprinkle that comes from them.. I also have a side shower head so they can get a shower without getting their hair wet.. The women all use both (you can select either one or both) However they all squat to get underneath the side shower rather than have a gentle rain shower on their hair and still wash their body off with the normal force of a shower head.
For information my rain shower head is at 79 inches above the floor.. anybody over 6'7" has to duck.
I'm 6-6. This showerhead is at 7-1. It works fine for me, but I would not want it much lower. It think less than five or six inches to the head of the tallest person would be the minimum clearance.
my plumber recommends "a coupla inches higher" than the tallest person ...
aka ... as high as possible ...
and ... recommends against installing them unless minimum 3/4" pipe is continous to that fixture ... 1" prefered.
lotsa remodels we end up talking the customers out of it.
