Okay, so I’ve seen this Rainhandler subject hashed & rehashed in the archives, but, I’ve yet to be able to form an opinion based upon my specific circumstances. First, I am assuming this: gutters carry the water away from the foundation these simply disperse it, these may clog but are easier to clean, ice can be a problem (as can be the cost of these units) and the distance they are installed from the top of the fascia can affect performance. So in my case; (1) I am building in a area which doesn’t recieve a particulary high annual rainfall and also tends to not all that frequently go below freezing. (2) I intend to use a finished slab on grade. (3) I have planned a small building with 2′-8″ overhangs. – Basically, the “city” requires some form of stormwater system and I’m looking at this system because it has some appeal to me, however if it’s not worth it’s weight in aluminum, especially when applied to my situation, I’d like to hear anyones thoughts about it.
