Those of you who have been around a while probably remember the problems that SHGLaw and I had with rangehoods that we had ordered made by RangeCraft of New Jersey. Well, here is the latest installment of that story.
If you look at the picture you will notice the stick propping up the bottom portion of the hood that looks like it is falling off. It is. There is no visible means of attachment between the funnel portion and the bottom (which holds most of the guts) except for what looks like the residue of some silicone caulk. This thing has only been there for about nine months.
My guess is that I am not going to get a lot of cooperation from the manufacturer but I will keep you posted. In the meantime, if you ever thought about buying a RangeCraft hood, I wouldn’t recommend it.

*Thanx, Nick. I'll put Rangecraft on my list of "overpriced junk to tell my customers not to buy 'cause I won't put it in a house without a release"Sorry to hear about your problem. This business is tough enough without having to deal with shit like this.In empathy,Bill
*Aren't we a little quick to blame the maker? If the owner of this Range Hood is a PE, then it might be his fault!just trying to get things stirring, re CZ's post...:-)Maybe I'll have to go over to a web site for range hood manufacturers to get them stirred up. This topics not close enough to home here.
