Looking to lower costs from the WRC I had initially planned, I may use ClearLam, an MDO-faced exterior ply board with wrapped and primed edges. I may also use WindsorOne, a fingerjointed radiata pine board that is double-primed. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Mike Smith would say you should use GP Primetrim.
My lumber yard salesman gave me a GP catalog, that lists all the stuff they have, and the only preprimed pine trim stock in the entire book is on page 26, and it is called "C&BTR PRIMED PINE," with the WindsorONE logo adjacent the heading. The first page in the catalog says, "Georgia-Pacific Specialty Lumber Team" and lists the sales office location as Bellingham, MA.
damn, son... your salesman gave you the wrong brochure..
look at this site..

So, Mike, what exactly is it?
it's an exterior MDF, primed on three sides..
more decay resistant than RC or Redwood. loves paint.. 4/4 or 5/4 thick... in 4, 6, 8, 10, & 12" widths.. x 16' length
it's limitation is that it's an MDF.. so you have to support it.. with solid nailing.. alos it doesn't like edge nailing without predrilling..
we've been using it almost exclusively for our exterio painted trim since '95..Mike Smith Rhode Island : Design / Build / Repair / Restore
