Got R-20 in the attic….very hard to get in there with roof pitch. So I’m heading out to Home Depot to get the blown in.
Got about 150sf to do (only doing 1 room) so I’m getting about 15 bags. All the guides I see say I should add about 9 or so inches.
Hopefully this helps keep our bedroom a bit warmer.

at least as far as you know............lolNaive but refreshing !
Since Cal's mind is in the gutter, I'll bite. (He just beat me to it)
You need to insulate the whole place! R-20 in Mass is nothing. We've been doing R-50 here in Indy with excellent results. I'd say a min for you would be R-38. Blown insulation (cellulose) is relatively inexpensive and you should be able to write it off on your taxes.John

Not thias year.
I think Federal energy saving write-offs go again next year. Right?
Indiana has them all the time. I was assuming that maybe other states do also.John

From what I have read. The congress that we love to hate, 9% approval rating, in their infinite wisdom, forgot about this year!
R U saying it is dead now and someone planning energy redo would be better waiting until after ____date?i'm still wondering what Irish has to do with pulling nine inches of warmth over her. Do Smurfs and Leprechauns have secrets other than where to hide the Pot'O'Gold?
