I have a pretty good Menards store I do some business with…and it is rebate check time. I bought an Oscillating Spindle Sander and a 8″ disk/4×36 Belt Sander and made tables/stands for them.
The disk/belt sander stand is more stable than it looks…might bolt it to the floor though (as soon as I know where it will live. In the mean time the bottom shelf is just a foot off the ground and I can step on it while sanding.
I am keeping a couple of shims tucked under the hex keys stored on the shelf…the shop floor is not exactly flat or level…I should have onboard shim storage on all my tables or stands that move.
These brands are not great, but these seem to be good tools (I’ll see how they perform this week).
I also bought a Jet 14″ Bandsaw a couple of months ago and just assembled it yesterday.

I bought that same band saw a few years ago, with the riser block. Gotta admit, now I wish I had bought a 16" with beefier motor for resawing. Ceiling clearance was an issue, but not insurmountable. The saw works well, though.

For me it will be a big step up from my Dremel Scroll Saw!I think it will be fine for what I have planned for it. I'm starting out with fairly basic tools.Glad to hear the Jet works well.
