Several of my recessed fixtures in my new home do not set flush with the ceiling. I don’t see any way to adjust them. Any ideas?

Hey Dan,
How far beyond flush are they?
*Dan, I have never seen a recessed fixture that wasn't adjustable. There should be 2 or 3 screws in the side of the can that you can loosen to move the can up or down. ( Of course, maybe I haven't seen everything )....these things get cheaper every day, so it wouldn't surprise me too much.
*The ones we use have the frame fixed in placec and the trims just push up into the frame and adjust via a series of snap ridges every eighth inch. The electricians leave them a liitle loose until the painter is done and we just push up until they snap snug against the cieling. With remodeler style cans, there is a snap flange that pops out just above the drywall to engage the back of it and hold the can up. If the hole was cut ragged with a lot of burrs at the top side these could be interferring with this snap flange. Pushing up while rotating can clear it.
